Patterns
I quilt using both free-hand designs and computer-driven designs (the modern version of pantographs or chalking patterns on a quilt). A few freehand designs are listed here ; it's impossible to list everything on this website. Let me know what you are looking for, and I can always find a pattern to match. The below are just a few examples of what is possible -- it's impossible to fit everything on the webpage! We'll talk about the best pattern for your quilt.
Here are some general categories of quilting patterns you might consider:
All-Over or Edge-to-Edge: A general pattern or theme that repeats all over a quilt or a section of a quilt. This can be a meander (open, gently curving pattern), or a pattern with a theme.
Examples: A basic meander pattern, and a freehand pattern that evokes the feeling of water, or a pond (for more freehand options, see the Freehand Patterns Page); pricing categories are indicated on all patterns:

Pantograph / All-Over Pantograph: A fixed pattern that is either used once or many repeating times over the quilt. I will generally use a computer pattern for this, since you can get more detailed and interesting effects. An example is the dolphin pantograph below, which is relatively simple, or the much more complicated vines pattern. There a thousands of these patterns, and it's great fun to pick the unique pattern that matches your quilt and its destination!
Motifs: Motifs are single designs that generally do not interlock. They are fantastic for quilts with large open blocks, and add an heirloom quality to your quilt. Again, there are thousands to choose from -- I will do these by computer, as it allows for exacting detail, accuracy, and placement of stitches.
